This setup is a simple 1 x 18650 Rechargeable setup that is cost efficient on the battery.
Using the D26-LED to provide the light source in one simple and compact flashlight.
Not the most ideal setup though as the runtime will be limited under 100% output.
The good part is the flexibility of the versatile D26-LED Series, you can choose from single mode or 3 mode and warm tine or white tint.
Under this setup, we recommend using the 3 mode for more control over battery consumption.

2 x CR123a Primary Cells

D26-LED Series
The “standard” setup of the SP-6, mostly for users that do not like to use rechargeable batteries. CR123a batteries have a 10 year shelf life, so for users that do not use the flashlight every day and do not wish to have to recharge batteries. This is an ideal and simple setup to use.
This is also the standard tactical use setup, mostly used by military and law enforcement purposes with the single mode version of the D26-LED.

The compact 2 cell rechargeable setup.
This is a similar setup to the 1 x 18650 setup and also a very popular setup.
This 2 cell rechargeable setup provide higher voltage and draws lower current, but the capacity of the 2 x RCR123 has lower capacity then the single 18650.
So this is just a convenience setup for users that want to use RCR123 instead of 18650.

The ideal 2 cell rechargeable setup.
Although the 18500 cells are not that common, the size is ideal for a 2 cell setup either on the SP-6 with the added extender or the SP-9 by itself.
Using the SP-6 with an extender also gives the user a choice where they can use the SP-6 as standalone or with an extender.
The 2 x 18500 cells also provide good runtime and power even using the D26-LED.
There are also many other options for the 2 x 18500 setup, which makes it very versatile.
D36-LED Setups with D36 Mini Turbo Head
Q:
Why use the D36 Mini Turbo Head instead of the M Series Mini Turbo Head?
A:
Because you don’t need to use any adaptors to use the D36 head and the D36 head match the colour and design of the Seraph SP series.

The compact 2 cell rechargeable setup.
This setup is not recommended for any D36-LED modules except the older Generation 1 D36-LED reflectors using the XR-E LED.
This setup cannot provide the power needed to run the new Generation 2 D36-LED modules using the high current draw XM-L LED.

This setup turns the SP-6 into a 4 cell flashlight.
This setup provides the most runtime using primary cells and also gives the user the option to use the more popular 2 x 18650 setup.
This setup provides very long runtime and very steady power source to the LED which is why it is a popular setup.
But if you are consider using this setup, we would recommend to use the SP-9 and use 1 extender instead of using the SP-6 and using 2 extenders.
The drawback of this setup is the long length.
D36-LED Setups with M Series Mini Turbo Head
Q:
Why use the M Series Mini Turbo Head instead of the D36 Mini Turbo Head?
A:
Because you can also use the M Series Mini Turbo Head on Surefire M Series lights.

Other Incandescent Setups for the Seraph SP-6
The SP-6 is compatible with all parts that will fit the Surefire P/C/G/Z series flashlights.
With the Lumens Factory C to M adaptor, the Seraph SP-6flashlights can use the Surefire M Series head units and all the lamp assemblies for the M series.
Our M Series incandescent lamp assembly line up can be used on the Seraph SP-9 as well using the Surefire M Series head unit and the C to M adaptor.
