Seraph SP-9 LED Setup Guide

This is a guide to the many setups available for the versatile Seraph SP-9 Flashlight that we have designed:

D26-LED Setups

Battery Setup: 3 x CR123a Primary Cells
Models: D26-LED Series

The “standard” setup of the SP-9, mostly for users that do not like to use rechargeable batteries. CR123a batteries have a 10 year shelf life, so for users that do not use the flashlight every day and do not wish to have to recharge batteries. This is an ideal and simple setup to use. This is also the standard tactical use setup, mostly used by military and law enforcement purposes with the single mode version of the D26-LED.

The ideal 2 cell rechargeable setup. Although the 18500 cells are not that common, the size is ideal for a 2 cell setup on the SP-9. The 2 x 18500 cells also provide good runtime and power even using the D26-LED. There are also many other options for the 2 x 18500 setup, which makes it very versatile.

The compact 3 cell rechargeable setup. This is a similar setup to the 2 x 18500 setup and also a very popular setup. This 3 cell rechargeable setup provide higher voltage and draws lower current. So this is just a convenience setup for users that want to use RCR123 instead of 18500.



D36-LED Setups with D36 Mini Turbo Head

Q: Why use the D36 Mini Turbo Head instead of the M Series Mini Turbo Head?
A: Because you don’t need to use any adaptors to use the D36 head and the D36 head match the colour and design of the Seraph SP series.

The ideal primary cell setup for the D36 platform. The D36 platform provide higher output lamp options and larger reflector which has longer throw. This setup also give the user an option to use 2 x 18500 rechargeable cells when needed.

This setup turns the SP-9 into a 4 cell flashlight. This setup provides the most runtime using primary cells and also gives the user the option to use the more popular 2 x 18650 setup. This setup provides very long runtime and very steady power source to the LED which is why it is a popular setup. The drawback of this setup is the long length.

This is a unique LED setup of the Seraph SP-9. It uses 3 x 18500 rechargeable cells with our unique 1.5 cell extender. This 3 cell rechargeable setup provide higher voltage and draws lower current. For users what want the most steady high power output with extra long runtime. The length is a bit long, but it provides high output and long runtime which was enjoyed and popular in the field.

Q: Why use the M Series Mini Turbo Head instead of the D36 Mini Turbo Head?
A: Because you can also use the M Series Mini Turbo Head on Surefire M Series lights.

Other LED Setups for the Seraph SP-9

The SP-9 is compatible with all parts that will fit the Surefire P/C/G/Z series flashlights. With the Lumens Factory C to M adaptor, the Seraph SP-9 flashlights can use the Surefire M Series head units and all the lamp assemblies for the M series.

Our M Series LED lamp assembly line up can be used on the Seraph SP-9 as well using the Surefire M Series head unit and the C to M adaptor.
